My Birthday

Today is my 35th birthday. I still can't believe that I am now in my "mid 30's". That just seems unreal to me. This cake is from Sunday when I celebrated my birthday with my wonderful family. I got to spend the day with my husband, kids, my dad, two sisters and my niece. It was a really great day! They cooked lunch for me and we had chocolate cake! It doesn't get much better than that. I was lucky enough that my sister Laurie was in town the week before and we got to spend alot of time together. Well, she was mostly helping me with the kids while Terry was out of town but any time spent together is awesome.

Today was my actual birthday and while I had to work, I really had a great day. My friends at work always make me feel special. They brought me breakfast, we went to lunch, then had cake and brownies after. Sounds like a lot of eating, doesn't it? Well, it was!! And they gave me some wonderful gifts. I got flowers at work from my hubby and kids which were absolutely beautiful!! We just spent a relatively quiet evening at home tonight. Terry cooked dinner and bathed the kids which was a nice break for me. So I really had a great day!! Thanks to everyone for making it such a special day.

P.S. I know I haven't posted in awhile and skipped some things (like Christmas!) I'll try to put up some pics even though they are late....

We put up and decorated our Christmas tree today! Connor had fun with it. He played with the ornaments more than he put them on the tree. It was awesome to see his little face light up looking at all the decorations. He is just loving Christmas already.

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a ton of food with wonderful family. Connor is finally (hopefully) going down for a nap after indulging in mostly fudge!! Kiley had a little taste of sweet potatoes. She's still not sure about food yet.

Kiley had her first taste of baby food tonight. Peas!! I think she preferred her fingers. Connor found it quite entertaining.

Halloween!!

Halloween finally arrived! My sweet little pumpkin Kiley looks like she's been in a fight but it was only with her fingernails. I took these pictures before we left the house. Thank goodness I did because when we got to where we were going, chaos ensued. (Sorry I didn't get pics of your kids, Monica) We went to our friends John and Becky's house (thanks John and Becky) in a subdivision not far from where we live. But this neighborhood goes all out for Halloween. It was great. There were decorations, haunted houses, lots of people and even bands playing in some garages. Connor was a little cautious at first but then he got into the swing of things. He and Addison were pros by the end of the night. They were so cute. He got tons of candy which is all he wants to eat nowadays. The picture above is Kiley with our friend Charlie who is dressed as someone from the show Tool Academy (I think). I don't watch it so I'm not sure. None of it fazed her. She just went with it!! What a great time.

Now it's time to look forward to the holidays to come. I will try to be more timely in my blog posting but time is hard find these days.
